![]() To feed one you will need to place an appropriate food in the far-right slot of your hotbar and get close enough to the creature for the button prompt to appear. Lystrosaurus is tamed by hand-feeding rather than through the use of tranquilizers. Note that the values are for optimal cases, always bring extra supplies!įor a level-dependent count of resources needed, try an external taming calculator. For instance, cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6 would color the Lystrosaurus's "body" magenta. ![]() This information can be used to alter the Lystrosaurus's regions by entering cheat SetTargetDinoColor in the cheat console. Hover your cursor over a color to display its name and ID. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Lystrosaurus will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Lystrosaurus. This section displays the Lystrosaurus's natural colors and regions. The Lystrosaurus's only true defense is their stealth, being small and quiet makes them incredibly difficult to find. Like wild pigs, they are usually seen snuffling the jungle floor for food using two small canine teeth and a small but strong beak. The Lystrosaurus is a stout mammal-like reptile often described as resembling a reptilian pig. A Lystrosaurus will attack if the player steals its egg. It will walk around aimlessly until attacked, at which point it will flee, albeit very slowly. Whenever I see an Alpha or a Tuso I go up a bit, check for eels, look around, look at target's level, then engage and it works most of the time. The Lystrosaurus is passive. Very annoying all told so it's best to spot them first and just outright kill them to avoid the hassle. One time I forgot to bring a crossbow and I was frantically hopping off trying to punch them in between shocks which was just not fun and the stupid shitty things did more damage than a 140 Alpha Mosa before I got them all killed. Worst case scenario a Eel comes after you after running away, but you gotta pop em again to get them to flee (or hop back on the squid and kill as they return in between shocks). The only fix is to time getting off the Squid in between shocks, float up a bit, and then hit em with a crossbow till your squid follows you up since the eels will run off when hit. If you get caught by eels typically they will go into the Squid's body and it can't move. If you don't do this you will have to manage your inventory a lot as you might kill on the first hit and harvest resources on the 2 follow up hits which will consume the body and cause loot to disappear. What I started doing today after a great tip from /u/NyLiam/ is turn on resource harvesting, kill an icthy/manta/shark/angler (for food to recover after combat/sprinting), then disable resource harvesting while I go around the the map so either my Squid will loot or I can loot the squids after. Pretty sure with full imprint and better breeding (got lower HP) I coulda gotten up towards 600x3 damage per hit which simply obliterates anything underwater. After taming a few Squids and breeding them with a 60% imprint my 629% melee damage squid does 482 per hit x3 hits per swing. Squid is best choice currently due to it's relative immunity to eels (or at least Eels won't knock you off it). Survive ARK - Tips, Tricks, Tools and News
